Air Hockey VR is one of the newest games available for the Gear VR. From developer Trioxin245 Software, you’ll be placed in a 3D apartment, standing at your end of the air hockey table. Controls are performed using either a gamepad or your gaze (aka moving your head). The controls work well enough, but the limitations of the Gear VR rule out the optimal controlling scheme of hand tracking.
Unfortunately, Air Hockey VR is a single player experience, but you can choose from 3 difficulty levels for the opponent. The game offers some colour customization for your mallet and puck and also includes an alternate tabletop design if you prefer the classic perforated tabletop look as opposed to the ice hockey rink layout.
Air Hockey VR is available on the Oculus Store for $2.99 USD. At $0.99 cents, it would be a decent impulse purchase, but at the current price, you may crave other content that will offer more for your money.
